Mainly food related.

I have been a very neglectful blogger lately. But I just haven't felt very blog-worthy (blog-able?). I finally finished the Game on challenge (we won!) though, so I am feeling like I might actually blog some food and picture fun. Anyways. Here is a random list for now about what's been going on in the land of Hann(s).

1. I lost 9 pounds doing the game! And another .5 at the end of last week. Hizzah!
2. I probably gained 2 this weekend eating at my parents'. :o(
3. Brody ate some of my students' projects last Monday while I was at school. That's all I can say about that.
4. I made this Mexican Pulled Pork last Thursday, and it was pretty much awesome. But I love almost anything in the slow cooker.
5. Bread is kind of a love of mine. Whole grain is the healthy way to go, but nothing beats some fluffy white bread or cheddar bay biscuits or maybe a good garlic bread.
6. My sister-in-law and her husband are coming to visit us this weekend!! I am so excited!! :oD Also kind of sad though, as I wish we had a house for visitors. Soon though (hopefully)! Their presence is an excellent excuse to stock up on some vino...I wonder what I should purchase!
7. I downloaded "The Essential Michael Jackson" this weekend.
8. About to make these cookie dough stuffed cupcakes for a sweet treat for my team.
9. We have a realtor, so I guess we are officially looking for a house now!
10. Not really a fan of Glee anymore, but I still DVR and watch a few episodes at a time when Tyson's out of town. Lea Michele's version of Without You? LOVE IT!!!

Game on!

Have you heard of this book? Basically, it's a healthy lifestyle challenge/game. I am currently a week and a half in (out of four weeks) with three of my friends, and it has sort of changed my life. There are teams, and each member earns up to 100 points per day for various items (getting 7 hours of sleep, drinking 100 oz. of water, exercising 20 minutes, eating 5 "sanctioned" meals, eliminating a bad habit, starting a healthy habit, and communicating with team players). Scores are averaged each week and the winning team gets whatever prize you decide on (spa pedicures in our case). I am notoriously lazy about working out and can rationalize not going, but I am also incredibly competitive--so this is a great way for me to get healthy. I've lost 5 pounds so far and am hoping for much more!

Sidenote: my team won week 1!!

Graduated!

I just found this picture on my phone from Tyson's graduation. Hizzah! I'm so proud of Tyson. He doesn't want to be called Dr. Ty Ty though, for some weird reason.

Vegas!

We took a graduation/birthday/just because vacation to Las Vegas and had a blast...we did not win any big money, but still
loved the trip. Tyson's been a few times, so he made sure to show me the sights. We saw Mystère and Blue Man Group. We walked up and down the strip (and up and down some more.). We ate some delicious food (craft steak; Wolfgang Puck's grill; a lamb burger from an Irish pub in New York, New York just to name a few).

I didn’t want to lug around my big camera, so I stuck to the camera on my iPhone and instagrammed them up. Here’s a glimpse into our trip…

I found my camera cord! Hizzah! Unfortunately, none of the pictures on my camera were that great. Sad day.

I cannot believe it is already December! Tyson's birthday is this Friday, the end of the semester is next week, our trip to Vegas is right after that, and then it will be Christmas and New Year's! I am so looking forward to some time off (to craft and hopefully bake!). I've found quite a few recipes on Pinterest lately (chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake bars, cheddar bay biscuits, sausage balls...have I mentioned how much I love Pinterest?!), and am looking forward to making some new items!

Here's what's on the menu this week:
wednesday :: spaghetti with meat sauce before small group!
friday :: out for Tyson's birthday!

I can't believe my first semester of school is almost over! I am taking the last day off for Tyson's graduation, so I only have nine days left. Insane in the membrane! Well Tyson and I have finally reinstated James Bond movies on Sunday nights, and I am missing For Your Eyes Only! :o)
