Project Life 2014, Week 4

Week 4! Just one side this week...I have our "snow" day(s??) in a separate page. Right now we are forecasted for another possible ice day tomorrow, so I am waiting to see if I will be adding to it or just filling in with journaling and info. I will share that page later this week! :)

Iris likes to say hello. I was able to visit her + my mom on Monday. :)

I love three-day weekends. The last day always zooms by though! No matter if it's a Friday or Monday off, the third day seems nonexistent by about 5pm. At least I was actually productive and not sitting on the couch watching a Criminal Minds or CSI: Miami marathon...

Project Life 2014, Week 3

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! Not only do I respect and admire the man for his civil rights efforts, but I also appreciate the three-day weekend shortly into the new semester. Much needed for the students and myself! :)

Hello week 3! This consists of a little midnight + seafoam action.

I was really proud of my outfit on Monday, so I felt like it needed to be documented. The blurred picture was from our pajama spirit day at school...the cheerleaders all wore one-sies. They are presh.

I went ahead and played with the TimerCam app in an effort to get myself in PL more. That would be me watching Courtney Loves Dallas (or Toned Up...can't remember) with the last cup of Starbucks Christmas blend coffee. I watched those shows while Tyson was running his 5K on Saturday, as they are not his favorite.

Get crafty :: card rampage!

Last weekend my craft buddy and I got together for some dedicated hobby time. Skinnygirl margaritas were helping us be creative...always a favorite.

Anyways, I have been in "card making mode" lately because I have had so many occasions to give them! Thank you, housewarming, just because...they are all my favorite. I tend to write notes to my students, so I've been stockpiling small, simple cards in my desk to use as needed.

(Sidenote: my favorite card making necessity for this endeavor will always be these sets of cards from Target. They are flat, but perfect for a quick little note.)

So this weekend I decided to use up some old tags I've had lying around and make some cards. I ended up with 16 simple but sweet cards. I'm a fan.

Project Life 2014, Week 2

Simple week...I didn't take many pictures. That picture of Sophie and I makes me laugh pretty hard though, so I'm okay with it. I'm also digging the navy and yellow. It kind of makes me want to put an outfit together with those colors...

Project Life 2014, Week 1

Hello, week one! Nice to see you. 

Okay, so I know I said last week that I thought I was not going to do digital Project Life again, but the reactions of my husband and mom informed me that they would miss regular updates on the blog. Plus, I kind of like the idea of multiple photo book spines lined up on a shelf. 

I don't think the title card really goes with the rest of the vibe of the week, but I still like it. My favorite is probably the split picture of Brody and Sophie whilst I was driving. I also had to include the flyer for Newk's--I was jumping up and down and screaming when I saw it. Literally, my mom thought something was wrong. Or wonderful...which it was!

I mixed up some midnight + cut and paste for this week. I am thinking that once I get tired of looking at the kits I have, I will be adding some lovely coral to the party. Or flea market. Such a tough decision. #firstworldproblems

My favorite picture is the one of Brody. He is starting to show a little grey around his eyes but is always cuddly and sweet. I also had to include the quote I spotted on instagram...I sent it to a friend when I first saw it, but I think it was meant more for me now that I think about it! It's funny how things like that work. 

Anyways, I am pumped to kick off another year of documenting life! My 2013 book is scheduled to be delivered today. I think if it doesn't I might revolt! 

Currently... [Christmas break edition]

Drinking Starbucks Christmas blend coffee...pretty delish. Also loving ginger ale lately.

Listening to my wood wick candle. So peaceful and relaxing!

Watching plenty of TV shows on netflix...Once Upon a Time and Scandal have been my preferences over this break.

Cleaning and organizing. Trying to get life in order to gear up for another semester.

Thinking about how my word for 2014 will fit in. The word is MOVE as I have gotten lazy lately.

Working on my first quilt! I have the top pieced together and need to find some more fabric for the back before I can proceed. My mother-in-law is helping me...I am calling her the quilt whisperer because she is teaching me some awesome tricks not in my quilt book.

Wanting a little more time to get some errands done. I wouldn't mind another week of vacation! :o)

Counting down the days until football season is over...and my Project life book is delivered...and a few books to be released on my to read list in 2014...
